Fast wholesale ordering from a spreadsheet
Magento 2 is a flexible e-commerce platform that allows businesses to personalize and optimize their online store according to unique needs. The B2B Quick Order Module addresses the specific requirements of B2B businesses, especially those that regularly place wholesale orders containing even several hundred line items. Below you will find the module features, how it works, and its benefits.
What is the B2B Quick Order Module?
The B2B Quick Order Module for Magento 2 was designed to simplify and speed up the wholesale ordering process for companies. The main purpose of the module is to add multiple products to the cart in bulk, which is essential for efficient order management in B2B stores.
Key module features
- Bulk product adding: Users can add many products to the cart at once, significantly reducing the time needed to place an order.
- Pasting data from an XLS spreadsheet: The module allows product data, including SKU and quantity, to be pasted directly from a spreadsheet, connecting the ordering process with the company internal systems.
- Simplicity and ease of use: The user pastes only two data columns – SKU and quantity, making the module easy to use even for new employees.
How does the B2B Quick Order Module work?
The ordering process using the B2B Quick Order Module is intuitive and consists of several steps:
- Data preparation: The user prepares a product list in a spreadsheet, where each item consists of two columns: SKU (unique product code) and quantity.
- Copying data: Data from the spreadsheet can be copied using standard copy commands.
- Pasting data into the form: The module interface includes a form where the user pastes the copied data.
- Data separation: The module automatically recognizes and separates data divided by a comma (,) or tab (TAB).
- Adding to the cart: After the data is pasted and processed, available products are added to the cart. The module checks the SKU, website assignment, and availability in selected warehouses; skipped items or unavailable quantities are shown in a message.
Benefits of implementing the B2B Quick Order Module
Time savings
A significant acceleration of the ordering process, which is especially important in fast-growing companies where time is critical.
Error reduction
Automating product adding minimizes the risk of mistakes that can occur when entering large amounts of data manually.
Integration with company systems
The ability to copy data from spreadsheets makes it easier to integrate the module with internal systems used in the company, improving supply chain management.
Improved B2B customer service
By simplifying the ordering process, the B2B Quick Order Module can help increase business customer satisfaction, which is important for maintaining long-term relationships.
The B2B Quick Order Module for Magento 2 is a powerful tool that can significantly streamline business processes for B2B companies. Its simplicity, efficiency, and integration with company systems make it a solution that every company operating in the B2B model should consider.
Availability control and B2B configuration
In the Kowal → Quick Order panel, you enable the module, select MSI warehouses, and decide whether the form is available only to logged-in users. The module takes into account quantities already in the cart. If the ordered quantity exceeds the available stock, it adds the available quantity and reports the missing portion.
Data pasted from XLS is text from two columns; the form does not require uploading an XLS file. Each product should be placed in a separate row.
Installation
Composer package: kowal/module-quickorder; module: Kowal_QuickOrder. After installation, enable the module, run the Magento update, clear the cache, and set the warehouses used for availability checks.
